When the time comes to move from the Waiting Room, He may now escort you into the Change Room. The Change Room isn't quite as comfortable as the Waiting Room, there are mirrors and reality stares you in the face. You cannot hide from what you see or from what others will see when you step outside of the Change Room door. It will be messy, it will perhaps make you take ownership of things that you wanted to deny existed before you closed the Change Room door. You will now have to decide if the Change Room wants to be a place for a preferred future outlook or will you just leave there with the same attitude, emotions, physical and spiritual mindset. Not many people embrace change with excitement, there are a select few, usally those with great self- worth and able to adapt to the new and different. For the rest of us, the skepticism sneaks in and the apprehension fills our thoughts as think about the changes. What if I don't like the new me or worse yet what if others will not accept the changes that took place? You see change comes with a cost, if you are going to change you need to ask yourself what am I willing to give up in order for the change to take me to a" new place. It may be an adjustment period, and it might be lonely at first but do I trust the One who created me to take me to the Change Room and help me develop into all He wants me to be to serve Him and others. When we enter into the Change Room with the support of a community that loves us, it is so much easier to navigate through the process. Surround yourself with those that will encourage, support and hold you accountable as you act in obedience to make the changes that will allow you to be the person that you were created to be.
You cannot hide in the Waiting Room, eventually you will have to move on to the Change Room and so you can decide when you want to take this next step. 2013 has just started and wouldn't be awesome to stop procrastinating and making excuses as to why and how you cannot change and just open the next door and walk in. I promise you , there will be NO regrets for taking this step. The Lord will tenderly, lovingly and gently help you change and walk out the Change Room door with a renewed, refined and refreshed state of living.
