When awareness enters a person's life, it can change how they view their values, their vision and their life purpose. They now have "heightened nerve endings" that can create balance in decision making and offer a fresh perspective to a situation. Unlike assumptions, it is based on reality.
Awareness does not lie to you. For me it is about combining the power of prayer and asking the Holy Spirit to heighten the awareness to a new level. A winning combination!
I enjoy watching people and asking them questions. Some might consider it nosey but to me it is just showing an interest in their lives without crossing boundaries. I find even strangers will engage in conversation if the questions are asked in the right context and without judgement. Acceptance comes through awareness. It is not based on the "what if's" but instead it is based on truth and fact. I am hearing in the media more and more about the need for awareness in our environment and in our daily lives. Keeping all our senses attuned to our surroundings. Taking out the earphones of the iphone and actually listening, seeing and observing to become more aware.
I consider it a blessing when awareness is given to me by others. When I allow those I respect and love to speak into my life. Those are true friends. They love me, care for me and encourage me by walking alongside me in the process.
So perhaps this week try and ask the hard questions when you don't know the answers. OR perhaps have someone else start to peel off the layers to help you become more aware. Taking you from where you are today to a forseeable future is the greatest awareness you can be given.
