I do believe that every life has seasons but within those seasons there are always times to give back to the Lord with a heart of gratitude. We are so privileged to worship freely in our country and not be persecuted. To gather together to serve one another and our community. To support one another in the good times and the difficult. Living as an island where you use the church as a resting place for one hour on a Sunday is really a tragedy and I am sure it saddens the Father's heart to see His child not participating in a fruitful way.
I think we really need to guard our hearts against complacency. Every time I go to worship I pray that I will go with a heart of gratitude for what the Lord has done for me in the past, the present and for the future. I want to give back to those who are around me and to those beyond the doors.
I am so thankful for this time in my life and grateful for the sacrifice that was made on my behalf.
Guard your heart, guard your mind.... don't just blend in and dissolve into the pew. Engage and give back with a grateful heart, it is a choice that we all need to make willingly.
