When an individual is placed in a position that does not maximize their strengths it is a long road upward for both the employee and the employer. No one likes to watch the clock tick all day ;stuck in a job that bores them to death and there is no place for improvement or job satisfaction.
So as an employer what process do you use to hire a new candidate? Do you REALLY know the person's strengths, their communication style and their means to motivation? In a lot of companies it is warm bodies filling empty space. The job needs to get done, someone applies with reasonable experience and their references are checked and they are hired!
Hiring someone is much easier than firing someone. I have been involved in both the hiring and firing of individuals and I am now better equipped with practical tools that can alleviate the guess work when it comes to knowing if the person is the right personality for the job description.
To see someone in a role where they excel at what they are doing is an amazing gift and the company then reaps the benefits of a fulfilled and motivated employee. You also want a well rounded staff , with different strengths that can be both task and people related. One of my favourite roles as a Professional LIfe Coach is helping people understand their strenghts as individuals and then empowering them in their careers to take it to the next level. I would be excited to help you learn more about your strengths or the strengths of your employees. Maximize
everyone's strengths and your bottom line will definitely make you smile!
