Most church boards consist of men and women with full time jobs that have taken on their role of leadership as a way to perhaps voice their viewpoints and give direction to the church. But in most cases, I have seen this become too much for their personal schedules and they walk away discouraged due to feeling unheard, undervalued and perhaps frustrated at the lack of decision making and follow through of the leadership team.
Many times while sitting around a board table I have sat back and watched the dynamics of the team, and come away thinking this is going no where fast! When do we get to the point of realization that we need the resources of those who do it well? Those with expertise which have systems and strategic plans to come alongside those who are called to make disciples not necessarily equiped to creaet a business model that will develop an infrastructure to support a church. This past year I have a new personal awareness that there are a lot of things I could be doing BUT what should I be doing that will make the greatest impact for the Kingdom and maximize my God given strengths for His glory.
I am incredibly excited to work with www.ministryadvantage.org as their first female coach to come alongside pastors and help them make their vision a reality. Empowering others for Kingdom work is my passion and when you combine practical tools with the power of the Holy Spirit, lives will be changed, churches will be changed and new Christ Followers will be welcomed. When you partner and come alongside with those who are called to the same purpose, things happen, decisions can be made and direction can be finalized.
I have seen some very close pastor friends struggle, it was heartbreaking and I am praying that wth the help of Minsitry Advantage I will now be able to give the support that is so desperately needed to those who are created for a divine purpose. Check out their website, watch the video, and I am sure you can relate to the words of those shared. Time to connect.... throwing you a life preserver... grab on!
